ICU Team
I know that I can speak on behalf of my whole family when I say that words cannot describe how thankful we are for what was done for my Dad. It boggles my mind that when Dad was as sick as he was, everything was handled with perfection. I cannot grasp the concept of fixing something when you don't know why it is broken. Regardless, I honestly could not have asked for better care and treatment. Hendricks Regional Health was chosen because of convenience and location, and it turned out to be the only hospital I would consider, regardless of where I am. I now know where I want to be if myself, or anyone in my family, were to ever need similar care.
I cannot stress enough how scared my family and I were when Dad was admitted into the Intensive Care Unit. When you are so unsure of what is going to happen, you pry and beg for information, answers, and professional opinions. All of these were provided promptly and accurately. We waited in the ICU for over a week not knowing if Dad was going to pull through; and we watched every medicine, treatment, and test. I knew everything that could be done, was. This care goes from all the various tests, to making sure his head was comfortably positioned on his pillow. As each day passed, I felt better and better about the hands my Dad was in. I could really tell your team cared for him as a person and not just as another patient chart. I could tell that there was will and determination to provide Dad with a full recovery, and could see there was never a doubt. I even noticed that doctors and nurses were taking time while off duty to check on Dad.
These types of actions and efforts are priceless; they go to a level of "above and beyond" that I have never seen before. Most importantly, I just want everyone involved to know that you didn't just save my Dad, you saved this entire family; and for that, I am forever thankful. Words cannot describe what you have done for us. At one point after Dad's sickness was corrected, Dr. Kirk said to us, "God has given him a second chance." As this may be true, it is your team that made his future possible. From the entire Stanton family, thank you!

Pediatric Unit
My 2 year-old son was a direct admit to the pediatric unit last week. Both my husband and I are nurses. I probably am very critical of nurses and doctors due to my experience, however Hendricks Regional Health was AWESOME! Our son was seen in a timely manner by the wonderful hospitalist, Dr. Beth Summers. She has a beautiful bedside manner that words cannot describe. She involved myself and my husband in the plan, and handled the situation very well. I felt at ease and informed on my son's progress, which is priceless. The nurses were wonderful; they gave us our space but were very thorough in their assessment; the director of this floor was attentive also. I cannot express how impressed I am. I work for three different hospitals and my husband works at Hendricks Regional Health and I have to say that your hospital was a wonderful experience in a scary time. Thank you to all who aided in our comfortable stay. You are truely a blessing, and what you do daily shined through to a couple of very scared parents. Thank you!

Hibbeln Surgery Center
All the staff at Hibbeln Surgery Center were wonderful! My husband was treated very well, which went far to make him less anxious. They also went out of their way to care for me that morning, and found me a place to rest during his procedure since I had worked all night – even warmed blankets!

Emergency Department
I was from out of town at Hendricks Regional Health's emergency room with kidney stones on April 8th and the entire staff was so nice. I was in a lot of pain, but being greeted by smiling faces and treated like a person really helped; so I would like to say thank you. I have never been at a hospital with such a friendly staff.

Pediatric Unit
On April 7, my 2 month-old son was admitted to Hendricks Regional Health for RSV and Bronchiolitis. My pediatrician, Dr. Shawn Fenoughty, gave me the option to go to another facility, either Riley or Peyton Manning Children's hospital. He mentioned these because he said some parents are adamant about going to these facilities. I chose your hospital for 2 reasons: because my pediatrician is part of the HRH medical group, and because he would have a room as soon as we arrived and be admitted as an inpatient immediately. After our stay, I would choose HRH for many other reasons than just those two. Colby was an inpatient for 2 days. During those 2 days, we had several nurses, nurses' aides, respiratory therapists and other staff that came to our room to treat Colby and provide other services like delivering room service or cleaning our room. I have to tell you that I felt the treatment we received from each and every person we came in contact with was wonderful! Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable, respectful, and treated us like we were the only ones there! The rooms were updated, colorful, and comfortable. I am sure there are instances where children would need to be treated at a different facility, but honestly, I don't know that they would necessarily be treated better. My son is on his way back to being a healthy baby boy and I am just so thankful to you for making that possible!
