The 2009 Treat People Better Awards & Auction event was held on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at the Colts Pavilion in the Indiana Farm Bureau Football Center. Bobbi Gray, RN, a care coordinator for Partners in Care, was this year's winner.
The evening was emceed by Brownsburg resident Gary Varvel, a political cartoonist for the Indianapolis Star. Previously Varvel was chief artist for The Indianapolis News for 16 years, and his work is syndicated with Gannett.
Proceeds
from this event benefit Hendricks Regional Health Foundation to help
fund college scholarships for Hendricks County students to pursue
health care careers. Hendricks Regional Health Foundation builds
healthier families by supporting the needs of Hendricks County's only
nonprofit health system, Hendricks Regional Health. The Foundation is a
separate entity that supports the hospital by helping expand
services, purchase new technology and implement programs.
